Who is Peter Pensevie from The Last Battle and what is their importance?

Peter Pensevie only has a small role in the novel, in which, he only addresses King Tirian. Peter does, however, travel to London with his brother Edmund, where they retrieve the magic rings. Peter is described as having the face of a king and warrior.
