Jane is a street smart ten year old girl who Dom targets to murder. Jane will be used to cause Eve pain. Dom wants them to be connected. He wants Eve to feel as if she is losing Bonnie again when he kills Jane. Jane is independent and determined to help in the catching of Dom. Jane doesn't obey adults just because they tell her to. Jane has to have the facts and then make up her own mind about her decisions. Jane is looking for someone to love her. She tries to attach herself to Monty, the search and rescue dog. She and Eve will connect as they are together through out the book.
