Who is Rosa from The House of the Scorpion?

Rosa is the housekeeper at the Big House. When Matt is six years old, she takes him away from Celia and imprisons him in the Big House. Unfortunately for Maria, once El Patron gets wind of Matt's whereabouts, he saves the boy, and has Maria turned into an eejit.
