Who is Seldon in The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle

Selden is Mrs. Barrymore's brother and an escaped convict. He is accidently murdered by the hound while wearing Sir Henry's coat. Sir Henry was the actual target, Selden merely carried his scent.
