Shasta/Prince Cor is an unambitious young man who does not want much out of the world, nor does he question where he came from or his relationship to the world. Bree is a large horse with a big ego who is always eager to tell everyone how smart he is. Aravis is the opposite of Shasta and they don't like each other at all at first. Hwin is a caring and good horse who is the oppositite of Bree.
