How should we define the difference between space and setting (- an essay question for The Handmaid's Tale).
Setting is a place and time in context...and more specific than space. But how do you define space?

Space refers to the "spacial representation"...... the words that create the social, cultural, and ethical backdrop to the plot of the story.
