What image does the author use to describe Jordan Baker in Chapter One?

One of the first images we have of Jordan Baker is of her trying to present a proper image to the world, but coming off looking very awkward at it. He says that she looks 'like a young cadet'. She is also named after a car that was supposedly popular back then, a type of car that the rich would have driven recklessly and with wild abandon....which describes Jordan quite well.
