Why doesn't Gruwell take another teaching job in the fall of 1995?

The principal at Gruwell's school pointed out that her sophomore English class would be disappointed if she wasn't there on the first day of school. She then caught the hypocrisy of her near-decision because "all" the teachers were not out to "get" her, most were either supportive or merely complacent about her class.
