Andrew Crawford is Emily's ex-husband. Andrew is a graduate student when he meets Emily. Shortly after their meeting, Andrew confesses to loving Emily and wanting to marry her, a fact that shocks Emily because they have only known one another a week. However, Andrew has a sexual dysfunction that he feels can be cleared up with psychotherapy.
