Anne resents the fact that Margot is older and more mature. Anne wants to have a more mature body like Margot's. There's also the fact that Anne is very outspoken and is not viewed as a lady, whereas Margot is. Margot seems to make better grades and be regarded by her teachers highly, whereas Anne is often in trouble.
