Anne is a young teenager. Her relationship with her mother isn't uncommon at this age. Fourteen-year-old girls are experiencing changes, becoming young women. As a result, Anne believes her mother is critical of her..... like she can't do anything right. She believes her mother prefers Margot's company, and in turn, she prefers her fathers. Had Anne and her mother had the chance to truly live their lives..... in my opinion, they would eventually have become the best of friends.
