At the end of Act I, Mr. Frank is thankful for their safety. No matter how they felt in the midst of the burglary..... they were all safe and alive.

Mr. Frank. [Rising, to them all] Have we lost all faith? All courage? A moment ago we thought that they’d come for us. We were sure it was the end. But it wasn’t the end. We’re alive, safe.
