The Harem of Beautiful and Virtuous Wives are a metaphor for mysogeny and sexual abuse. They are a group of beautiful women who are allowed no sexual contact, save serving the Sultan. Their genitals have been mutilated so that they receive no pleasure. They enjoy inspecting Beauty's whole genitals. Inanna is a member of the Harem.
