Hellman's play, The Children's Hour, has two primary settings. The first setting is the living and study room of the Wright-Dobie School for girls, which is located in a converted farmhouse about ten miles from Lancet in Massachusetts. The second setting is used the living room of Mrs. Tilford's house, presumably in the town of Lancet.
