Who is Adolf Hitler from The Book Thief?

Adolf Hitler is the leader of the Nazi regime and ruler of Germany during WWII. He was appointed chancellor in January, 1933. Hitler, and his book, Mein Kampf play a large part in the novel, The Book Thief.
