Who is Mrs. Trigg in The Birds by Daphne du Maurier?

Mrs. Trigg and her husband live next door to Nat and his family. Mrs. Triggs is the first person to note the birds' behavior might be cause by the weather. Unfortunately, she is brutally pecked to death by the birds at the conclusion of the story.
