Jonathan Weiner uses language that is powerful and full of facts, but is easy enough for a lay person with no scientific background to read and understand. He goes to great length to ensure the information is communicated in plain English but is also correct in its general and scientific meaning. The Beak of the Finch is divided into three parts and an epilogue. They all fit together smoothly and the readers would be lost if they skip even one chapter. The chapters flow together building on the information that had been given in previous chapters to help the reader understand the findings and the predictions of the future that are presented at the end of the book.
