Alexander Hamilton was a delegate from New York, as well as a lawyer and politician. He was among the most prominent founding fathers, and he was one of the authors of the Federalist Papers. Hamilton's views were the most monarchical of all the delegates, and his alternative constitution was largely ignored. Hamilton went onto become secretary of the treasury under George Washington.
