What are some unselfish things that Tom has done to Aunt Polly that show his maturity?

I don't know that Tom actually shows unselfishness when it comes to Aunt Polly. He often feels guilt and remorse over his different escapades, but outside of kissing her goodnight when she thought he was dead (she was sleeping), I can't think of a thing.
