The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

The irony is a term used to describe a situation that is deliberately contrary to what one was expecting. Why do you think it is ironic that Huckleberry Finn is the envy of all of the “respectable boys” in town?

Huck is rather a wild child who does not attend school or church. This is ironic because Huck has no stability in life and remains outside the mainstream yet boys wish they had his life.
