In That Summer, Lorna Queen is Mac's new wife. At the beginning of the story she and her new husband have just gotten married. The girls have a hard time accepting her because she is only slightly older than Ashely. She does try to reach out to the girls and is the weather girl for Channel 15. At the end of the novel, she announces her pregnancy to the world.
