Do you agree with the tone used by agent Carlson and Agent Stone when they question Beck?

Chapter Nine? First, we have to consider that Carlson and Stone are investigating Elizabeth's murder. Beck is a suspect, and he has been brought in for questioning. The tone used by the two agents is accusatory, which in itself doesn't seem unnatural because it's their job to question everyone thoroughly. The difference in this instance, which is essentially an interrogation, is that the two men seem to have their minds made up that Beck is Elizabeth's murderer.

Based upon what I know about the way witnesses and subjects are interrogated I'd have to say I disagree. I do, however, also think their tactics were a bit over the top.
