Who is Soldan of Egypt from Tamburlaine the Great and what is their importance?

Soldan of Egypt is the father of Zenocrate. He despises Tamburlaine for invading his lands, but even more importantly, for stealing away his daughter. After Tamburlaine returns a great portion of his land, Zenocrate accepts and blesses his daughter's marriage.
