Who was Macbeth? Why was he treated in great esteem at court?

Ans:Macbeth,thane of Glamis,was a general in the Scottish army.He was a near kinsman of Duncan,the king of Scotland.He was a bold warrior and had won many victories in wars.For this, he was treated in great esteem at court.

Macbeth is the Thame of Glanis and newly named Thane of Cawdor. He is also a general in the army of King Duncan.
