Dr. Jekyll was always interested in the dual aspects of the human personality. For this reason, he decided to find a way to separate these two sides of his own personality. To do this, he worked with various chemicals until he found one that worked. Upon finding the right combination, he was surprised to discover that when his own duality was separated, he transformed into a man who was younger and smaller than himself, Mr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyll found that he liked being Mr. Hyde as Mr. Hyde had fewer inhibitions.
