Robert Frost, in his poem Stopping by Woods, utilizes imagery from nature. He uses this imagery to set the tone, propel the theme, and to add to the mood of the piece. One example of this would be the woods, themselves. They are dark and deep, and the sound of the snow falling, making little hissing noises, all set the tone for the thoughts this narrator begins to have.
