Who is Lia DeFrancesca from Stephen Coonts' Deep Black and what is their importance?

American agent, Lia DeFrancesca, works for Deep Black. She is currently working in North Korea, where she is posing as a journalist. Born in China, Lia was adopted by an American couple and is fluent in several different languages. Her new assignment is in Morocco. Dean meets her at the airport in Frankfurt, after which, the two travel to Paris. Lia has some problems changing the microphone at the Islamic charity but she manages to do so. She and Charlie then return to Paris where they have to switch a hard drive in a computer that is being hijacked by terrorists. Lia is Charlie Dean's love interest.
