The book is written in the third person point of view with the narrator being the author, Stephen Coonts. Even though there is a great deal of dialog in the novel, it is the author who fills in the details for the reader and it is the author who describes the various settings that characters visit or the various gadgets that the characters use. This allows the reader to obtain more information that the first person point of view would.
