Who is Ethan Ainsley from Something Blue and what is their importance?

Ethan's family moves to Indianapolis when Ethan is in fourth grade. He is befriended by Darcy, Rachel and Annalise. When Ethan is in fifth grade, Darcy becomes Ethan's first girlfriend. After a few days of holding hands, Darcy breaks up with Ethan. He remains friends with Darcy but, having more in common with Rachel, he is closest with her. Ethan and Darrcy kiss for the first time in high school after a party, but nothing develops.
