Armpit's parents are minor characters, who serve as a symbol of the negative repercussions of past actions that Armpit is striving to escape. Armpit's parents seem determined to believe and / or assume that the only person he is, and is capable of being, is the delinquent who was sent to a correctional facility. Sadly, they also seem completely incapable of accepting that he can be anyone else.
