What is the setting of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Pearl, and Sir Orfeo by J.R.R. Tolkien?

The settings of all three pieces begin in Medieval England, presumably where they were written. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight draws heavily on the Arthurian legend, whose lineage extends back centuries into English history. It begins in Camelot, where Sir Gawain is engaged in Christmas-tide festivities until the Green Knight rushes in and challenges the Knights of the Round Table.
