Nikolas, Shattered Mirror, is Christopher's twin. He was made into a vampire by Nissa when it seemed that he was going to be hanged for murder back during the Civil War. Not wanting to be without his twin, Nikolas changes Christopher. For many years they go on wild killing sprees, but eventually part ways. While Christopher has matured and no longer gives in all of the time to his vampire nature, Nikolas has no such problems. However, he does tend to have paternal feelings toward those vampires that he creates.
