Dr. Francis worked at the Hazelwood Veterans Hospital before he moved to Florida. While working at Hazelwood, Frederic Szabo was a part of his caseload. His interactions with Szabo exposed Szabo's plans, and as the plans were clearcut and feasible, Francis saw them out. Francis is one of Mastermind's pawns.
