Roselily is filled with foreshadowing. From the opening, Roselily questions her wedding, the reasons for her wedding, why she is getting married..... her biggest reasons for accepting the groom's proposal were to insure her future, as well as the future of her children. In the end, the wedding is over, and all Roselily can think about is the fact her husband is out of place in her community, all while wondering if she will ever fit into his.
