Romeo and Juliet's weaknesses are centered around a lack of maturity and an inability to comprehend the consequences of their impulsive actions. They fail to understand the things that could go wrong when they rush their love. It really wasn't their fault that their families were feuding, but patience, something they lacked, would have been prudent under the circumstances.
