Based upon their age and actions, I see Romeo and Juliet as far more infatuated than truly in love. They are both young, impetuous, and obviously smitten, but their lack of maturity and their overwhelming desire to be together leads them to make poor choices that carry devastating repurcussions. Their attraction is no doubt genuine, as is their desire. It is important, however, to remember that only hours before, Romeo was deeply in live with someone else.
