What is the theme for chapter 9, 10, 11, and 12

The primary theme in Chapter Nine is friendship at risk. TJ's friendship with Stacy has become secondary to the friendship he believes he has forged with the Simms boys. Unfortunately, this only proves that TJ doesn't understand the true meaning of friendship.... he is not the "man" he believes himself to be. He's merely an inexperienced and easily misled boy.
