Uncle Dick is Rees' uncle and an invalid. He is a strong Christian but desired the salvation of the Spirit but was not sure how to get it. Rees visited his Uncle and over a few weeks his Uncle came to have th Spirit live within him. Years later when Uncle Dick was living in Pentwyn on Black Mountain, he would be close to death. Through the intercession of his nephew Rees, Dick learns he is to be restored and will walk to church, something he had not been able to do for years. The healing is not immediate, but a specific date is given by the Lord. Dick suffers for some time, and it looks like he will die. But on the exact date the Lord promised, Uncle Dick walked to church without even a walking stick.
