There are many situational ironies in Raymond's Run. Squeekie is a girl but doesn't want to do traditionally female activites, or dress in frilly dresses and lace. She's tiny, but she's fierce. Also, ironically, Raymond accompanies Squeekie on her training runs, so he's as fit as she is.
