The railsea was originally a complicated and diverse network of rail lines laid by competing companies who dammed up the ocean in order to expedite travel and trade, thereby increasing profits. Ultimately, the companies collapsed under their own weight, leaving only the railsea behind, over which generations of people traveled, worked, died, and forgot about the origins of –except for a few.
