Who is Slaves from Protagoras and Meno and what is their importance?

Slaves are present at Callias' house in the Protagoras dialogue, and also with Meno, in the Meno dialogue. When Hippocrates and Socrates go to Callias' house an angry slave opens the door. Socrates later questions a slave boy while Meno listens.
