There are several motifs that recur throughout the novel, Pride and Prejudice. One of those is the recurring idea and notion of a 'good marriage'. Mrs. Bennet ties a 'good marriage' as one that involves vast amounts of money (love has nothing to do with it). Then there's the concept that Lizzie has about it all. Each character has their own definition. There's also the motif involving false impressions. Wickham is assumed to be one way....until we learn that he isn't that way at all. Same for Darcy.
