Who is Anne from Poor Richard's Almanack and what is their importance?

Anne is a character in one of Benjamin Franklin's poems. She embodies the flighty nature Franklin attributes to all women. On his death bed, her husband asks her to promise that will never remarry. Anne, ironically, has already promised herself to another man.
