Who is Earl Swagger from Point of Impact and what is their importance?

Earl Swagger is Bob Lee's father. He died when Bob was a little boy. Earl won the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroism in World War Two at Iwo Jima. After the war, Earl became an Arkansas State Trooper. He was killed in the line of duty when Bob was nine years old.
