Patty Jane's House of Curl tells the story of two sisters from Minnesota. Patty Jane is nine months pregnant with her first child when her husband suddenly disappears. Patty Jane falls into a dark depression for months, frightened her husband has met with some terrible accident. At the same time, Harriet, Patty Jane's sister, has fallen in love with the heir to a cereal company. Unfortunately, Harriet's fiancé is killed the day of their wedding in a plane crash. Patty Jane's House of Curl is a novel about how these two women not only survive these tragedies, but rise up to make a good lives for themselves, surrounded by people they love, creating a unique family within which Patty Jane's daughter will grow and thrive.
