Sara Johnstone was a young girl, who was in the same asylum in which May Dodd was incarcerated. Described as pretty and delicate, Sara was unable to speak and had lived at the asylum all her life. Sara's marriage to the Indian, Yellow Wolf, was very happy and loving. Sara was the first of the women to learn the Cheyenne language, and as a result, she was finally able to speak. She was killed during an abduction by the Crow Indians.
