Narcissa White was a sanctimonious and self-righteous missionary, who joined the brides program so that she could convert savages into Christians. Her religion was rigid and judgmental, and she was disliked by the other women. Narcissa was later raped by her Indian husband, and after learning she'd conceived, she aborted her child.
