Slim, in Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, is one of the ranch hands that Lennie and George meet. He is depicted as having 'God-like' eyes. He is very kind and a good judge of a person. He is the mule driver and he understands what it took for George to kill Lennie at the end of the novel. He is the only one that comforts him. Slim is a realist and is not a dreamer like many of the others. George and Lennie were brothers, though they kept that fact hidden from most people.
