Who is Nurses from Notes on Nursing and what is their importance?

According to Nightingale, nurses were caregivers, who were girls and women aged 5 years and up. These nurses were faced with caring for the health and perhaps very existence of their employers. "Nearly half of all domestic nurses were between the ages of 5 and 20" according to the 1851 census."
