A reoccurring idea the Roosevelt marriage. It is unusual in that there are more than two people in it. The White House is full of boarders, many of whom are friends, who are sacrificing their personal lives to serve the President and his wife. Roosevelt had affairs with Missy LeHand, Lucy Mercer and Princess Martha. He carries on with these women fairly openly.
